Take the guesswork out of campaign analytics with performance scores
When it comes to measuring the success of your ad campaigns, knowing whether your results are good, great, or need improvement is crucial. Adnami’s new performance score does exactly that. By offering a clear and standardised performance metric (ranging from 0 to 100), this feature helps you contextualise your campaign’s performance against benchmarks for similar formats and impressions.
Gone are the days of deciphering whether a 4,000 eAPM or 10.3 seconds of Time-in-View are considered positive outcomes. The performance score takes the guesswork out of interpreting your campaign data and enables you to focus on making optimisations and maximising campaign effectiveness.
What makes the performance score so useful?
- Clarity in context: Understand how your campaign stacks up against the benchmark for similar campaigns.
- Dynamic and real-time: The score adapts as your campaign evolves, reflecting real-time data based on your selected formats and impressions.
For instance, the score can show you how different high impact and standard display formats contribute to your campaign’s success. By benchmarking performance, you can identify opportunities to optimise and refine your strategy.
How is the performance score calculated?
Adnami calculates your performance score by analysing:
- The formats used in your campaign.
- The total number of impressions for each format.
- Historical performance data to determine the highest and lowest expected performance scores for a comparable campaign with similar formats and impressions.
The result? A simple score from 0 to 100 helps you understand where your campaign stands. For example:
- A score of 99 means your campaign ranks among the top 1% of similar campaigns.
- A score of 35 indicates it performs better than 35% of comparable campaigns.
This streamlined approach ensures you’re always equipped with actionable data and insights.
Where to find your performance score
The performance score is conveniently located in the Analytics module of the Adnami platform. Here, it updates dynamically based on your applied filters, giving you a tailored view of your campaign’s performance.
In addition to viewing your score, hovering over the metric provides additional context into specific formats and performance drivers.
Applying performance score insights
The true value of the Performance Score lies in its practical applications, some key use cases include:
- Campaign-level analytics: Quickly assess your overall campaign performance and compare results across different markets, past campaigns or year-over-year. For example, if your campaign achieved an eAPM of 4,038, the Performance Score will indicate if your campaign achieved an effective outcome based on the included formats.
- Format-level insights: Dive deeper into the performance of specific formats to identify which ones are driving results. Use the performance score to optimise campaigns in real time by making adjustments to maximise impact or review results post-campaign to determine the most effective formats. For example, an eAPM of 4,038 may be considered low for high impact formats like a Skin or Mobile Midscroll Anchor but exceptional for low attention formats (e.g., 300x250 and 160x600 banners).
- Domain-level performance: Zoom in on domain-level performance to understand how specific domains, combined with specific formats, perform against benchmarks. By identifying top-performing or underperforming domains, you can optimise and reallocate budget to increase effectiveness.
- Creative benchmarking: Identify which creatives perform best across the same or different formats. Use these insights to refine your creative strategy, test variations, and optimise resource allocation for maximum impact.
