The performance score on the Adnami platform (ranging from 0-100) indicates how your campaign performs relative to the benchmarks for its type. The dynamic metric adapts based on the formats you used and the number of impressions your ads received.
What does the performance score tell you?
The performance score helps answer key questions such as:
- Is 4,000 an effective eAPM outcome?
- Are 10.3 seconds of Time-in-View a good result?
By providing a standardised performance metric, you can easily assess whether your campaign is achieving strong results or needs optimisation.
How is the performance score calculated?
Adnami calculates the performance score by analysing:
- The format types included in the campaign.
- The impression counts for each format.
- Our historical performance data to determine the highest and lowest expected performance scores for a comparable campaign with similar formats and impressions.
Using this data, the system can simulate the best possible performance for the campaign and turn it into a score between 0 and 100:
- A score of 99 would mean the campaign ranks among the top 1% of all recorded performances.
- A score of 35 would mean the campaign performs better than 35% of similar campaigns.
Example
Consider an eAPM of 4,038. Is that good or bad? The answer depends on the ad formats included in the campaign:
- High-attention formats (Skins, Mobile Midscroll Anchors, etc.): An eAPM of 4,038 would be considered low.
- Low-attention formats (e.g., 300x250 and 160x600 banners): An eAPM of 4,038 would be considered an exceptional score
Where can you find the performance score?
The performance score is available in the Analytics module, where it dynamically updates based on your applied filters within your Analytics overview.
Key takeaways
- The performance score is a relative metric that adjusts based on the ad formats and impression counts.
- It incorporates specific format benchmarks and impression weighting to provide an accurate performance assessment.
- Higher scores indicate stronger campaign performance relative to similar campaigns in the Adnami ecosystem.
By leveraging the performance score, you can optimise your campaigns for more attention and other KPIs.
