Troubleshooting of formats, that are not displaying correctly

When a HI format or creative is not displayed correctly on a site it can be due to the site the ad is served on, the creative material set up in Adnami, or the creative set up in the DSP.  Find out where the trouble is by checking the list below.

Publisher:

  • Is the site/subpage certified for the format(s)?
  • Check with the Adnami Extension if the site/subpage displays the format(s) correctly
  • Can you see the issue on a test link from the site? (Please create a test link where the issue is visible on each load)
  • Is the format being rendered in the correct placement?
  • Make sure to use the correct the creative tag used in the test link, is correct for the device (for example, accidentally using a mobile tag for desktop, or vice versa)?

Creative setup in Adnami:

  • Does the creative assets follow our recommended specs and max weight of 3.5MB? Banner max weight is 3.5MB to comply Googles 'Heavy Ad Interventions'. For best performance, all assets should be compressed and optimised to the lowest possible file weight.
  • Validate the creative in the Adnami-preview link. Does your creative look good there? If not update the creative settings in Adnami to get the preview you’d like.
  • Does the clickthrough work? You can validate the click URL by clicking the preview of banner.

Creative set up in the DSP/Adserver:

  • Is the creative approved in the DSP/Adserver?
  • Is the creative size matching the deal size? The deal provider can verify this if in doubt. The creative has to be uploaded towards the correct ad unit for it to work properly
  • Creative status in DSP/Adserver? Do they get any error messages? What do they say?
  • Make sure you have assigned correct type of creative to the deal. For example it’s not possible to run a Mobile Midscroll creative on a Midscroll Desktop deal
