How to build a DCO banner using our Dynamic Feeds Templates

Building and maintaining DCO banners can be a hassle but with our Dynamic Feeds Templates you can save time and increase both efficiency and performance.

Before you start building, it is important to understand how to set up a feed. To learn more about this, please refer to our guide Creating Dynamic Banners from XML, JSON and Google Sheets

The Templates

The Dynamic Fluid Product Carousel and Dynamic Hybrid Product Carousel are responsive high impact templates for Topscroll and Midscroll (both desktop & mobile), that allow for the easy creation of a product carousel banner powered by a feed. The templates are customisable to give you creative control on background colour, logo and overlays.

Feed selection

Step 3: set your country specific creative parameters and hit 'continue'

Step 4: select DCO Hybrid Product Carousel from the drop-down menu

Step 5: select default click url
This will be the landing page when a user clicks on the logo.

Step 6: configure the lifestyle area
Now you can add:

  • background image
  • overlay
  • logo - you can set the position of the logo to any side or corner of the lifestyle area

Step 7: set your CTA text
The  CTA text  will appear on the button for each product, so set this to something suitable.

Step 8: select how many products per slide & the maximum number of products for the banner to display

  • We recommend 2-3 products per slide for desktop and 1-2 for mobile
  • The maximum number of products for the banner is the total number of products that will be loaded from the feed - For best results we recommend between 5 and 10 products maximum, depending on the file weight of each of your product images within your feed

Step 9: choose the scaling mode for the product images

  •  “Cover” mode (default) will stretch the asset to fill all the available space, but can result in cropping around the edges.
  •  “Contain” ensures that product images are never cropped (however note that this will result in some empty white space around the images, which may not look as nice).

Step 10: connect your feed to product text, details and price

Step 11: select the colour and appearance of the template custom to you

Here you can select

  • Background colour to set the colour of the area behind the logo. If using a semi-transparent colour, content behind the header will be slightly blurred to give a glass-like effect. The amount of blur can be changed, or disabled entirely if preferred.
  • Carousel interface colour to set the colour of the carousel navigation buttons.
  • Product background colour to set the background colour of the product text.
  • Product text colour to set the colour of all the text on the product.
  • CTA button and text colour
