How to set up and launch a display creative and high-impact banner using the Adnami suite?

This is an all-you-need guide on to build a banner in Adnami

This guide covers everything from your initial login to the final export of your tags, including expert tips from Adnami AdOps.

1. Getting Started: Access the Adnami platform

Before building, ensure you have access to build creatives in Adnami

  • Login: Sign up or log in to the Adnami Suite.

    • No account? Write to us in the chat 💬 or request user access at https://app.adnami.io/

2. Check the format specs

  • Check Specs: Visit the Adnami Specs Site to confirm asset requirements for specific devices.

  • Safe Zones: Use the Safe Zone Tool to ensure your key messaging remains visible across different screen heights.

3. Create Your Campaign in the Adnami Suite

The "Campaign" serves as the top-level folder for your creative assets.

  • New Campaign: Navigate to the "Add" tab, name your campaign, and select the advertiser or create a new advertiser.

4. Configure Creative Parameters

Once the campaign is created, click the "New Creative" button and select your desired format (e.g., Topscroll, Midscroll).

  • Country Selection: This is the most important field on this tab. Selecting the country automatically adjusts the width and height of the creative tag to local standards.

5. Asset Upload & Formatting

Navigate to the "Banner" tab. This is where you build your banner.

  • File Formats: You can upload images (PNG/JPEG), video, HTML, or zip files or use any of the creative templates.

  • Click URL: Optional - Enter the landing page URL here, or add in the DSP/Adserver.

    • Note: If using a zip file or tag, the URL may be embedded. If so, ensure it includes the Adnami Macro and is 100% responsive.

  • Settings: Once your format is selected, you can fine-tune how your assets behave. These options ensure your banner looks professional regardless of the device.

    • Scaling and anchor point  of the asset, adjust the Video Controls and streaming function, Audio button option and add a background style.

  • Overlays: Image Overlays: Add content in the banner as image file with a transparent background. This sits on top of the base asset and helps the banner scale better across different screens.
    • Configuration: Position and resize these in the "Time to Play" settings after the preview is generated.
  • Text Overlays: You can add text directly in the suite, adjusting font size and style.
  • Ad Info (Legal Overlays): Use "Disable Overlay" for standard banners, or "Legal Overlay" for campaigns requiring specific disclosures (like political advertising).

4. Tracking

  • Tracking (Optional): Paste your third-party trackers here. Important: After pasting, select the type as "Impression" to ensure smooth delivery.

5. Save the banner and Check the preview of the banner

When completed the above steps, Press "Activate and Complete.".

You can still change the wrapping name at this stage.

Validation: Click the preview button to view the banner you've built.

If you are not happy with your preview. You can revist the settings at any point.

Pro tip! 💡
If using a big screen to build, always check the preview on a smaller screen size (and remember to refresh the preview!) to ensure the layout holds up.

6. Export of the Adnami creative tag

  • Platform Selection: In the activation tag section, select the specific DSP or platform where the tag will be implemented. The tag code will automatically update to match that platform's requirements.
  • Go Live: Copy the tag and paste it into your DSP as a "Third-Party Display" creative.

💡 Adnami AdOps Recommends

  • Master Responsiveness: To make an ad fit all screen sizes perfectly, use a background image combined with overlays.
  • Video Best Practice: Always include an End Frame Image. This ensures your brand or CTA is visible even if the video takes a moment to load or finishes playing.
  • Test Campaigns: Don't be afraid to create a dedicated "Test Campaign" to experiment with different creative formats or overlay positions.
  • Quality Check: Always attach an image to the safe zone page first to verify your CTA placement before moving to the final steps.
