      Why You Might See mediation.adnxs.com in Your Site List (and What to Do About It)

      Defining mediation.adnxs.com URLs from undefined in-app inventory; what it means, and what steps you can take to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

      Does the domain mediation.adnxs.com appearing in your site list? This may happen when running Adnami in native app environments that is not certified for Adnami High Impact formats, and  where Xandr is the SSP.

      What Is mediation.adnxs.com?

      mediation.adnxs.com is a placeholder domain that appears when Adnami is unable to automatically detect the actual app domain during ad delivery in native apps using Xandr as the SSP.

      This may happen when running Adnami in native app environments that is not certified for Adnami High Impact formats, and  where Xandr is the SSP.

      When the app is not certify, it doesn't always pass the full domain or app name through the standard display tag. As a result, Adnami cannot identify the specific app where the ad is shown, and hence why you may see the domain in your site list.

      Does This Affect Campaign Performance?

      Despite the domain not being visible, the ad is still served correctly if metrics such as impressions and viewability are reported. However, the lack of domain transparency can make it difficult to analyze performance at the app level.

      How can it be avoided?

      • Exclude in-app inventory where Xandr is the SSP if you see mediation.adnxs.com in your site list.
      • Monitor your site list regularly, and optimise towards high performing domains.
      • Talk to your deal provider, and make sure they exclude in-app inventory in the deal, from on their end too.
      • Reach out to your Adnami contact if you need help filtering or excluding this inventory.
