How do I create and deploy compliant, cookie-free political advertisements with  Adnami?

Learn step-by-step how to build cookie-free political using Adnami mandatory political ad overlay and how to get your campaign live across major Danish publishers.

A simpler way to run political ads - We've teamed up with Adnuntius and built a workflow that handles the heavy lifting. The main goal? Zero cookies. We ensure no 3rd-party tracking is used, keeping your campaign 100% compliant with privacy standards.


1. The Basics: Image & Video

You can use standard or high-impact formats, but we have to host them on our server to keep things cookie-free.

  • Images: GIF, JPG, PNG, or SVG (Keep them under 550kb).

  • Videos: MP4, WebM, or MOV (Max size 50 MB).

2. Don't forget the "Safe Zone"

Since every political ad needs a clickable transparency overlay at the bottom, you need to leave some breathing room in your design. If you put a logo or a CTA at the very bottom, it will get covered.

  • Small ads (up to 320px wide): Leave 65px at the bottom.

  • Medium ads (320px–512px wide): Leave 54px at the bottom.

  • Large ads (wider than 512px): Leave 43px at the bottom.

Pro tip: If the candidate’s name or the election title is super long, that box might grow a bit taller, so play it safe!

3. How to get it live

We’ve teamed up with Adnuntius to manage the overlay data. Here is the quick play-by-play:

  • Step 1: Upload your creative to the Adnami Suite (make sure there are no tracking scripts attached!).

  • Step 2: Check the "Political Overlay" box. You don't need to type anything in—the system pulls the info automatically.

  • Step 3: Export your tag.

    • Buying via IO? Send the tag to the publisher; they’ll add the campaign details.

    • Buying via PMP? Upload the tag to your DSP. You (the agency) are responsible for adding the campaign details in Adnuntius and on politiskreklame.dk.


4. Where can you run these?

This setup is ready to go with major Danish publishers, including: TV2 Denmark, Berlingske Media, JP Politikens Hus, JFM, Egmont, and Concept X.
